Brief: Three law firms merging under a single banner. More than a thousand staff and partners from each of the three original companies had to get to know each other and feel part of the new "family". Fun was the buzzword for the event.
Solution: The event was being held in Birmingham, a city with more canals than Venice, and our client favoured a Venetian theme. G&T Productions provided a large team of actors/singers/strolling minstrels to walkabout and facilitate a bespoke team-building event.
Once the guests were seated the Doge's Representative appealed to the great legal minds gathered to use their wide knowledge of legalities and professional talents with legal paperwork to save Venice from sinking.
The first part involved each table (team) in a light-hearted test of legal knowledge, company knowledge and general knowledge about Venice. Speed and accuracy were rewarded with a head start in the second, sillier part of the challenge.
Representatives of each team handed over the results of the quiz and exchanged them for large legal documents – obviously the better they did at the quiz, the more documents they were given. They then had until the end of sweet to construct the most extraordinary (or largest) floating structures and deliver them to the on-stage Lido. Our Gondolieri set each structure afloat (or otherwise) and the winning team received a prize.
Result:
A very happy client. One of the client company's delighted directors visited the performers' dressing room to express fulsome praise for one of the best events ever.
